Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Line Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and plating dishes according to our standards, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong interest in the food industry. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Ensure food safety and proper handling procedures are followed at all times
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy hours
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
