Creston Employment is currently hiring a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician on behalf of our client in the Greater Toronto Area. We are looking for a reliable professional with strong experience in troubleshooting, servicing, and installing HVAC and heating systems. The ideal candidate should be confident working independently on service calls, diagnosing issues, and providing effective solutions in a professional and timely manner. Experience working with furnaces, water heaters, boilers, and related HVAC equipment is highly preferred. Candidates with installation experience and hands-on field knowledge will be given strong consideration.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems across commercial and residential settings
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues with heating, cooling, ventilation, and related mechanical systems
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC installations and repairs
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose system problems accurately
- Weld components as needed for system repairs or modifications
- Service boilers and other mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Perform appliance repairs related to HVAC systems and associated equipment
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, parts used, and system performance
Requirements
- Hold a valid G2 license.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician with a strong background in mechanical systems maintenance
- Knowledge of plumbing, welding, boiler operation, appliance repair, construction practices, and schematics interpretation
- Mechanical knowledge applicable to various HVAC components and systems
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics effectively
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues
- Mechanic experience in related fields such as appliance repair or construction is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Valid certification or licensing relevant to HVAC work is preferred but not mandatory depending on jurisdiction
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
- Commitment to safety standards and continuous learning in the field
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
