Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading team members to deliver exceptional customer service. Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
- Support sales management through merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
- Oversee cashiering functions including cash handling, POS transactions, and bookkeeping tasks
- Lead, supervise, and motivate team members; provide training & development to enhance performance
- Recruit new staff members by conducting interviews and participating in onboarding processes
- Coordinate purchasing and inventory management to optimize stock levels and product availability
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and customer engagement
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Assist with budgeting, sales forecasting, and analyzing sales data to meet business objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized store environment
Experience
- Proven supervisory or team management experience in retail or related fields
- Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, and store management practices
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, marketing, and sales management strategies
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred for effective customer interaction
- Proficiency in training & development, interviewing techniques, and leadership principles
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with budgeting processes, pricing strategies, and inventory control methods
- Prior experience in recruiting staff and supervising teams is highly desirable
