Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Food Truck Helper to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of our food truck. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and assembly of menu items in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and professional service
- Manage cash transactions accurately and handle cash register operations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment following food safety guidelines
- Restock supplies as needed throughout shifts to ensure smooth operation
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Follow all food handling and sanitation procedures to comply with health regulations
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and preparing ingredients
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions
