Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Provide oral health education and personalized advice to patients on proper hygiene practices
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix
- Manage patient scheduling and ensure a smooth flow of appointments
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and operatories in accordance with infection control protocols
- Support pediatric patients and assist with orthodontic or other specialized treatments as needed
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Dentrix or similar dental management software is highly desirable
- Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, or assisting with various dental procedures is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are beneficial for communicating effectively with diverse patient populations
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a caring, professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
