Autobook builds software that auto dealerships actually use. We're focused on the workflow pain that costs dealers real money — appraisals that drag, deals that stall, leads that go cold. Our products sit in the day-to-day of used car managers, sales managers, and BDCs, and we grow because dealers tell other dealers.
You'll have the right to sell our software in your territory, full ownership of your pipeline, and uncapped earnings on every dealer you close. The more dealerships you bring in, the more you earn — and recurring software sales mean every signed account compounds.
This isn't an entry-level seat. It's built for closers who want a real territory, real autonomy, and real upside, without a manager handing them a pipeline.
Why this is interesting
We're early. We don't have a 50-person sales team you'd be slotting into — you'd be one of the first reps building this motion with us. That comes with real upside: you shape how the role works, what the pitch sounds like, which dealerships matter, how the commission structure evolves. The right person here can grow into a much bigger seat — we'd love that, and we're not promising what we can't deliver yet. We're looking for someone to prove this out with us.
Flexible to start
Open to easing in. If you've got an existing job or business and dealership relationships you can tap, we're happy to start you on the side — close a few deals, see if the fit's there, scale up if it's working. We'd rather find the right person on a trial than rush a hire we both regret.
The honest caveat: this role lives or dies on time spent in dealerships during business hours. It works best if you've got flexible daytime hours — already in the auto industry, running your own thing, or between gigs. If you're locked to a 9-to-5 desk, the math gets tough.
What you'll do
- Source your own leads — your network, cold outreach, dealership drop-ins, referrals, whatever works for you
- Run the full cycle from first conversation to signed contract, on your own schedule
- Demo our products in person at dealerships across your territory
- Build relationships with GMs, used car managers, sales managers, and F&I
- Hand signed dealers to our onboarding team and stay involved for upsell and referrals
What we're looking for
- A closer with a track record — dealerships, auto industry, or SaaS field sales
- Self-starter: you don't need someone setting your schedule or filling your pipeline
- Either financial runway to ramp commission-only, OR an existing job/business that lets you trial this on the side
- Comfortable walking into a dealership cold and earning the next conversation
- Valid driver's license, your own vehicle, and willingness to travel your territory
Bonus points
- Worked in a dealership before — F&I, BDC, used car desk, or sales management
- Existing relationships with dealer principals or used car managers
- Already operating as an independent rep, agency, or HST-registered business
- Familiar with appraisal tools, dealership CRMs, or digital retailing platforms
