Customer Service Representative
Job Responsibilities:
§ Assist and handle dedicated customer accounts, ensuring a high level of service and timely resolution of customer inquiries.
§ Monitor daily carrier reports to track on-time deliveries, proactively investigate shipment delays, coordinate with carriers to obtain updated delivery information, and communicate status updates to customers.
§ Coordinate the investigation and resolution of customer and carrier damage claims in collaboration with the Customer Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely processing.
§ Assist and handle customer shortages and overages by conducting investigations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and processing claims through to credit stage.
§ Provide cross-functional support to the Customer Service team by maintaining service continuity and covering responsibilities during team member absences and vacations.
Qualifications:
§ Post-secondary education preferred; equivalent combination of education and progressive professional experience will be considered.
§ 3-5 years experience in a customer service setting
§ Extensive experience utilizing enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, or other business applications) to support operational excellence and informed decision-making.
§ Excellent planning, negotiation skills and financial management skills
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be persuasive and handle conflict
§ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations and communicate effectively with senior leadership and external partners.
§ Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
