Location: Chilliwack
We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientated Jr Purchaser to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our organization has the materials, equipment, and services needed to operate efficiently and cost-effectively. The successful candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and capable of building strong relationships with suppliers while supporting the overall success of our operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build & maintain relationships with vendors & suppliers
- Forecasting business needs
- Delegation of tasks to team members
- Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely & accurate fulfillment
- Coach & train team members
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong negotiation, communication and people skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Detail-orientated with excellent organizational abilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Manufacturing purchasing experience
- Knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
