Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter/Handyman to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong carpentry skills, handyman experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position offers an opportunity to apply a broad range of construction skills, including blueprint reading, restoration, and installation work, contributing to high-quality project completion.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, woodworking, Etc.
- Handle concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and siding applications
- Conduct restoration projects including drywall repair, painting, caulking, and general surface finishing
- Install plumbing fixtures and electrical components as needed; assist with electrical and plumbing repairs
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various construction tasks
- Assist with roofing projects and siding installation to ensure weatherproofing and durability
- Measure materials accurately for construction estimating purposes
- Perform heavy lifting and material movement safely on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment; ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Complete assembly tasks for various fixtures or equipment as required
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction
- Extensive experience with carpentry, woodworking, cabinetry, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry
- Skilled in concrete forming, rebar installation, siding application, roofing work, and restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools operation; ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Experience with plumbing systems and electrical components is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically fit for demanding tasks over extended periods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Reliable with good communication skills; able to follow instructions precisely
- Prior handyman experience preferred; capable of handling diverse repair tasks efficiently
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
