ELEMENTARY SECRETARY
Under the direction of the Principal, the successful incumbent will provide administrative support to the school in accordance with Board policies & procedures.
Duties
- General reception, phones, mail and correspondence
- Record and maintain attendance for students on a daily basis
- Maintain all student information in the Student Information System
- Responsible for processing purchase orders and receipt of goods
- Process/prepare all month end reports and OnSIS reports
- Responsible for maintaining all achievement records and processing report cards and reports
- Maintain enrolment statistics and prepare reports for Board and Ministry
- Maintain Ontario Student Record (OSR) as outlined in the Ministry “OSR Guideline”
- Maintenance of Board and in-school budgets and finances
- Type newsletters, teacher handbook, and student handbook
- All other duties assigned by the Principal
Qualifications
- Secondary school graduate or equivalent required
- Successful completion of an Office Administration Program from a recognized Post-Secondary Institution and/or equivalent experience in the office administration is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher)
- Word processing, database and spreadsheet experience required
- Experience with GSuite (Google Applications) would be an asset
- Experience with Aspen would be an asset
- Experience with School Cash Suite & K212 would be an asset
- Proven commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual (French) would be an asset
