Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) Manager to lead our quality assurance team within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of quality control, quality inspection, and quality management processes to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality. This role requires strong analysis skills, project management expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and QA/QC protocols. The FSQA Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry regulations and company goals.
- Lead quality control and inspection activities throughout the production process to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Conduct thorough analysis of quality data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, production, and supply chain to ensure product safety and quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage internal audits, supplier assessments, and regulatory compliance inspections to uphold certification requirements.
- Oversee the training of staff on QA/QC procedures, safety protocols, and best practices in quality management.
- Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, audit findings, and corrective actions for executive review.
- Ensure effective documentation practices for all quality-related activities in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in protein manufacturing environments with a focus on food safety or related industries.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to quality metrics.
- Extensive knowledge of quality control, inspection techniques, and quality assurance principles (QA/QC).
- Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems and project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills for training staff and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team committed to excellence in product safety and quality standards within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Pay: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
