Land and Regulatory Consultant

Job Summary
We are seeking a Land Consultant to join our team that is both highly professional and innovative. The ideal candidate will know mineral and surface land tenure systems and practices within an oil and gas environment, in both Alberta and British Columbia. This position is part time as a consultant not an employee.
Qualifications
- Experience with mineral rights posting and sale processes in British Columbia .
- Working knowledge of virtually all manner of joint venture contracts and verification of title, both working (or unit) interest and mineral title. Drafting skills will be important.
- Experience will include land administration, land use regulations and surface land acquisition process (Crown and Freehold).
- Knowledge of surface right requirements for approvals/consent/notifications of various stakeholders, including First Nations, for drilling licenses, facility and pipeline applications, etc.
- Preparation and review of required land documentation related to surface land management (assignments, schedules, divestitures).
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
