Job Description
The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in driving revenue while delivering an exceptional customer service experience. This position is responsible for converting inbound inquiries into sales from inquiry to close, managing customer relationships, and supporting the administrative processes required to complete container rentals and purchase transactions.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, active listening, and the ability to quickly understand customer needs to recommend the most suitable solutions. The representative will manage leads, maintain accurate CRM records, and ensure customers receive timely, professional support throughout their entire journey.
This is a performance-driven role focused on sales conversion, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Convert inbound inquiries (phone, email, live chat) into closed sales opportunities.
- Prepare and process contracts, rental agreements, invoices, receipts, and payments accurately.
- Qualify customer needs and recommend appropriate rental solutions.
- Provide accurate quotes and pricing in a timely manner.
- Follow up consistently on open quotes, sales leads, and inactive prospects to maximize conversion.
- Prospect and generate new sales opportunities with both residential and commercial customers.
- Identify upsell opportunities including moving supplies, premium options, and additional services.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Deliver professional, positive customer interactions across phone, email, and live chat channels.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and service requests.
- Actively listen to customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Resolve issues with a customer-focused and retention-driven mindset.
- Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Maintain detailed notes and communication records within the CRM for follow-up and service continuity.
Business Development & Continuous Improvement
- Support marketing campaigns by promptly following up on inbound leads.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with management to improve products, pricing, and service offerings.
- Identify and track, trends and opportunities that can drive additional rental and sales volume.
- Proactively suggest improvements to processes that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Performance & KPI Accountability
Performance in this role will be measured against key sales and service metrics, including:
- Sales conversion rate
- Revenue targets
- Lead follow-up responsiveness
- Customer satisfaction and retention
Work Schedules
We operate 7 days a week from 8 am - 8 pm EST
Evenings & Weekends Required
Hybrid in Office - min 3 days in the office
Salary Range: $55,000 to $60,000 per year
