FOOD SERVICES COORDINATOR, CASUAL
CONCURRENT INTERNAL/EXTERNAL
Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes is seeking applications for a Casual Food Services Coordinator. As an integral part of our Food Services team, the Coordinator will support the effective operation of meal programs by assisting with planning, organizing, and delivering nutritious meals to clients. This role helps promote health and independence for individuals in the community through the coordination of food services that meet their unique needs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Working in a rewarding, fast paced environment and reporting to Food Services, Supervisor:
Prepare meals in a timely fashion, following all safe food handling guidelines
Ensure that all food served is of high quality and meets CCCKL standards
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and kitchen by cleaning and sanitizing surface and stations according to Health Unit specifications
Receive and follow direction as provided by the Food Services Supervisor or Program Manager
Provide leadership and direction to volunteer teams
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Follow health and safety protocols
Perform other duties as assigned by the management team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid food handlers certificate / Police Check / Drivers Licence
- Experience in meal preparation in a similar environment
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
WAGE:
The wage range for this exciting opportunity is $18.65 to $20.44. Selected candidates will be appropriately placed on the organizations wage grid based on skill, knowledge and experience.
