Executive Summary
The Supply Chain & Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain, procurement processes, and warehouse operations. You will play a vital role in optimizing raw material inventory—specifically phenolic materials—ensuring high adoption of our NetSuite ERP system across production teams, and managing vendor relations to minimize costs and supply chain risks.
Key Responsibilities1. Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Inventory Optimization: Oversee warehouse operations and inventory strategy to ensure stock levels are continuously optimized from both a purchasing and coordination standpoint. Collaborate with engineering and production to repurpose excess inventory and off cuts.
- ERP Leadership & Adoption: Drive the training, adoption, and consistent usage of NetSuite across all production and operations teams to maintain accurate, real-time inventory and production tracking.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with process innovation to develop and enforce efficient inventory management processes, minimize shrinkage/waste, and lead regular stock counts and auditing.
- Quality Control: Collaborate with quality management department to ensure compliance of ATS suppliers with in-house quality metrics for materials and hardware. Champion material quality inspection upon delivery.
2. Supply Chain & Purchasing Management
- Strategic Procurement: Manage procurement activities for specialized manufacturing inputs, with a focus on sourcing and purchasing phenolic raw materials and locker components at optimal pricing and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and oversee the Supply Chain Coordinator, ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day sourcing, purchase orders, and logistics tasks.
- Vendor & Claims Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Process, negotiate, and resolve vendor claims, material non-conformance issues, and shipping discrepancies efficiently.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify supply chain bottlenecks, monitor lead times, and implement contingency strategies to keep production schedules on track.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain leadership, preferably within a manufacturing, millwork, or cabinetry environment.
- ERP Expertise: Demonstrated, strong working knowledge of NetSuite (inventory management, procurement, and production tracking modules). Experience leading NetSuite training or driving team adoption is highly preferred.
- Material Sourcing: Background in sourcing raw materials (experience with phenolic resins/compact laminate or architectural materials is a major plus).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage direct reports (Supply Chain Coordinator) and influence cross-functional production teams.
- Vendor Management: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and claims processing skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent organization, forecasting, and data analysis abilities.
