Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dayhome Agency Administrative Assistant/Coordinator with an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level 2 or 3 certification. This role involves supporting the coordination and administration of dayhome services, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering a nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and individuals with disabilities, along with strong administrative skills to manage daily tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating dayhome placements and scheduling activities for children
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, developmental progress, and care plans
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and service providers to ensure quality care and address concerns
- Support early childhood educators in implementing educational programs and activities
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports
- Assist with onboarding new caregivers and maintaining compliance with licensing requirements
- Provide support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring inclusive care practices
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children
Requirements
- Valid ECE Level 2 or 3 certification required
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with children, families, and team members in a caring manner
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate attitude towards caregiving and child development needs
Additional Assets
- Experience working with Family Day Homes or licensed childcare programs
- Knowledge of Alberta Family Day Home Standards and childcare regulations
- Experience with Procare or childcare management software
- Ability to communicate in additional languages is considered an asset

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
