Video Editor
30 Seconds on Us
Chin Mounts is a fast-growing eCommerce brand specializing in action camera mounts designed for motorcycle, motocross, mountain biking, and a wide range of action sports worldwide. We move fast, work smart, and don't believe in micromanagement—we believe in ownership. Expect a lean, action-focused culture where results matter, autonomy is earned, and great ideas come from anyone.
Job Overview
As Video Editor at Chin Mounts, you'll turn raw footage—ours and our creators'—into scroll-stopping ad creative, UGC, and organic content. You'll work fast, cut for retention and conversion, and keep a high-volume content engine fed without sacrificing quality. This is a hands-on editing role for someone who lives in the timeline and understands what makes people stop, watch, and buy.
Why We're Hiring for the Role
Our content team is generating raw footage faster than it can currently be turned into finished, publish-ready assets. Editing is the bottleneck between what we shoot and what actually goes live in ads and on social. We need a dedicated editor who can own that pipeline, keep pace with volume, and raise the quality bar on every cut.
Tour of Duty Objective: The objective for this role over the next 12 months is to build a fast, reliable editing pipeline that turns raw footage into publish-ready ad creative, UGC, and organic content on a consistent schedule. This includes establishing repeatable editing templates and workflows, cutting turnaround time from footage to finished asset, and becoming the primary editor behind every piece of content that goes out the door.
Key Responsibilities:
Paid Ad Creative Editing
How we currently do it: Ad creative editing limited to one editor, which slows down testing and creates inconsistent quality. We need another editor who can turn footage into ad-ready cuts quickly and consistently.
Responsibilities:
- Edit short-form video ad creative for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube from raw footage
- Cut multiple hooks, angles, and variants from the same footage to fuel testing
- Add captions, text overlays, sound design, and pacing built for retention and conversion
- Turn edits around quickly to keep ad campaigns constantly refreshed
UGC and Organic Editing
How we currently do it: UGC and organic footage often sits unedited or gets a rough cut with no real polish. We want someone who can make every piece of raw content look and feel native to the platform it's posted on.
Responsibilities:
- Edit UGC-style content—demos, testimonials, unboxings, day-in-the-life—into native, platform-ready posts
- Edit organic content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts on a consistent posting cadence
- Match editing style and pacing to what's currently trending on each platform
- Repurpose long-form and raw footage into multiple short-form pieces
Experience & Qualifications
Need to Have:
- Proven experience editing short-form video for ads, UGC, or social (portfolio/reel required)
- Strong skills in Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software
- Understanding of what drives retention and conversion in short-form video
- Ability to turn around a high volume of edits quickly without sacrificing quality
- Strong organizational habits for managing footage and project files
- Relentless attention to detail and a bias toward action
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the motorcycle, motocross, or action sports industry
- Motion graphics or basic design skills (After Effects or similar)
- Experience editing specifically for paid social ad creative (Meta/TikTok Ads Manager)
- Color grading and sound design experience
