Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Live-In Caregiver to provide care and support to an individual in a private home setting. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure safety and comfort, and promote independence while maintaining dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and physical support as needed
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping duties (laundry, cleaning, organizing)
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Monitor and report changes in health or behavior
- Accompany client to appointments or outings if required
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role preferred
- Certification in caregiving, Personal Support Worker (PSW), or equivalent is an asset
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy personality
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job (lifting, assisting mobility)
- Vulnerable sector check and Negative TB test results are mandatory
Work Conditions
- Live-in position (private room and accommodations provided)
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- weekend availability
