Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager and Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The Manager and Supervisor will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality food industry standards while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures
- Lead and manage team members through effective team management, interviewing, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee food safety compliance, ensuring adherence to health regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling responsibilities
- Coordinate kitchen activities to ensure efficient food production and timely service
- Handle customer service issues promptly to maintain high guest satisfaction levels
- Oversee restaurant management tasks including inventory control, scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Assist in hiring new staff members and conducting interviews to build a competent team
- Ensure hospitality standards are met consistently across all shifts, creating a welcoming environment for guests
- Support barista or beverage service operations if applicable, including barista experience or bar management duties
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Experience with restaurant management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced environments
- Prior hospitality experience including hotel or barista roles is advantageous
- Knowledge of food industry standards, customer service excellence, and kitchen operations is essential
- Experience in interviewing and hiring staff to build strong teams is preferred
