Position Overview
The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, cleanliness, safety, quality control, and execution of assigned residential construction sites.
This role works closely with the Project Coordinator and Designer to keep projects moving forward, coordinate trades and suppliers, update schedules, complete daily logs, identify risks early, and ensure each home is built to Lighthouse Custom Homes’ standards.
The right person is organized, proactive, detail-driven, calm under pressure, and comfortable holding trades accountable while maintaining professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily construction activity on assigned sites from excavation through possession.
- Responsible for quality control through all stages of construction
- Coordinate trades, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and site access.
- Update project schedules and complete daily logs in Buildertrend.
- Monitor progress and communicate schedule risks, delays, or issues early.
- Review plans, specifications, selections, and construction details to ensure work is completed correctly.
- Maintain high standards for quality, craftsmanship, cleanliness, and site presentation.
- Identify deficiencies early and ensure they are documented and corrected promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
- Enforce safety standards and applicable OH&S requirements.
- Verify delivered materials match approved specifications and quality expectations.
- Communicate clearly with the Project Coordinator, Designers, trades, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Support change order documentation by identifying work outside approved scope.
- Help protect the client experience by ensuring site execution is professional, organized, and well communicated.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience.
- Custom home building experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage residential construction from foundation to occupancy.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, building codes, and safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, structural drawings, specifications, and construction details.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using construction management software; Buildertrend experience is an asset.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead trades respectfully while holding them accountable.
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record. Company vehicle provided.
