CTL Group is seeking an experienced Dispatcher with strong knowledge of cross-border LTL & FTL operations, customs clearance, and modern dispatch software systems. This role is ideal for a fast-paced logistics professional who understands U.S.–Canada freight movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch and manage LTL and FTL cross-border shipments between Canada and the U.S.
- Coordinate with drivers, customers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Prepare and verify customs documentation (PAPS, PARS, ACE, ACI).
- Track loads and proactively resolve delays or issues.
- Optimize routes, schedules, and equipment utilization.
- Communicate shipment updates to customers professionally and clearly.
- Ensure compliance with Hours of Service, border, and safety regulations.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2+ years experience dispatching cross-border LTL & FTL freight.
- Strong working knowledge of customs clearance procedures (PAPS/PARS).
- Experience using dispatch & TMS software ( Xpert Dispatch)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills with drivers, brokers, and customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with temperature-controlled or dry van freight FTL and LTL
- Familiarity with U.S. DOT and Canadian compliance requirements
- Bilingual (English, Russian, Punjabi) is an asset
