Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mould Setup Technician for a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment. This person will be responsible for setting up injection molds, preparing presses and auxiliary equipment for production, starting machines, supporting first-off approval, and troubleshooting setup or process issues during production.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who has actually performed mold changes and injection molding startups. The right candidate should understand how to safely hang molds, connect water and auxiliary systems, set up the work cell, purge and start the press, inspect parts, and fine tune the process to produce acceptable molded parts.
Schedule And Location

- Schedule: Night shift, with overtime during the week or on weekends as required
- Work environment: Plastic injection molding manufacturing facility with heat, noise, moving equipment, cranes, forklifts, and PPE requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Set up molds on injection molding machines ranging approximately from 100 to 1,000 tons.
- Install, remove, stage, and prepare molds using overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, hand tools, clamps, bolts, and related setup equipment.
- Set up and support injection molding machines such as Nissei, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Engel, and similar press brands.
- Read and follow work orders, setup sheets, production schedules, SOPs, and mold setup instructions.
