Job Summary
This job is the morning shift - 6:00AM start. This will require solo work (just you and the horses) for a couple of hours in the morning before the next staff member arrives. As the first person there in the morning the job plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the barn. Experience in horse health and behavior a must. Experience with horse feeding and medications a must.
It is important that you are comfortable and confident in horse care. Your position will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being of all horses, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. This job requires experience, a passion for animal care in general, and the ability to take instruction and work with others.

Duties
- Feed and water horses according to established schedules and dietary requirements, including medications, supplements, hay, and grain.
- Clean stalls and paddocks, and maintain cleanliness throughout the barn and surrounding areas.
- Monitor horse behaviour and report any concerns to management.
Skills
- Strong understanding of horse behavior and care practices.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, riders, and visitors.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting hay bales, cleaning stalls, and walking long distances within the facility.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of care within our equestrian community while providing an enriching environment for both horses and riders alike.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
