Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in fine dining and menu planning. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures are followed
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues and supporting overall kitchen operations
Experience
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or catering setting
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry best practices
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in fine dining environments is desirable but not required
- Previous roles involving kitchen experience, culinary training, or serving are beneficial for success in this position

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
