Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry tasks, has a solid work ethic, and will be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires proficiency in framing, finish carpentry, reading blue prints and other general carpentry duties on commercial and residential sits. A commitment to quality workmanship and safety is essential.
Wage based on experience
Duties
- Perform installation of various materials including framing, cabinetry installation, drywall, flooring, and tile laying.
- Execute tasks for various construction projects.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate construction and installation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for carpentry work.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing structures, ensuring durability and safety.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Journeyman Carpenter Certification.
- Experience in maintenance person services is a plus, showcasing versatility in skills.
- Ability to work on diverse projects from residential to commercial settings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
- Must live in Fort McMurray or the Wood Buffalo Region (We will not look at candidates that live outside the area
