Mackenzie & Wilkins Plumbing and Heating is seeking a skilled Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of plumbing systems. With specific experiences in plumbing new construction, renovation, service and repair considered an asset. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Journeyperson Plumber will play a vital role in delivering high-quality work efficiently and safely.

Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Deliver highly professional conduct, communication and representation at all times with clients as well as colleagues
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings when needed to execute projects accurately
- Make effective use of hand tools, power tools, drain machines, and pipe joining methods and equipment to deliver service
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed for installation or repair tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plumbing systems, fixtures, pumps and related mechanical systems
- Collaborate with construction teams when needed to ensure proper integration of plumbing with other trades
- Comply with company standards regarding the responsible use and maintenance of assets, including vehicles and tools
- Maintain clean and tidy working environments at all times, including shop space, company vehicles and client property
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Skills
- Strong level of knowledge with plumbing systems as a mechanical trade, plumbing fixtures and equipment
- Strong level of written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and pipe assembly techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting purposes
- Safe work practices, identifying hazards and completing FLHA documents
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repairs
- Experience working with schematics for troubleshooting complex plumbing or mechanical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail for precise work execution
