Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and selection initiatives; receiving resumes/pre-screening applicants, scheduling interviews, reference checks etc.
- Disability management; WSIB, disability and return to work claims.
- Process payroll data and administer employee benefits programs
- Maintain employee files and HR records
- Compliance; tracking documentation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Provide labour relations support to foster positive and collaborative employer–employee relationships
- Assist with Employee Recognition/Wellness Programs
- Support continuous improvement of HR systems, policies, and practices.
- Maintain organizational archives (paper and electronic)
- Collaborate with Brantwood leaders
- Provide excellent customer service to Brantwood employees
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information
Skills & Experience Required:
- of 1 year working in a Human Resource capacity required
- Diploma/certificate or combination of relevant education required
- Exceptional oral and written communication
- Intermediate computer/software skills
- Ability to work under pressure balancing competing priorities
- Experience working in a unionized environment considered an asset
- Successful candidate must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Pre-Employmemt Health Form
- Work schedule flexibility to meet operational needs
- Valid “G” Driving license and access to a reliable vehicle
