Description du poste
The Auto Mechanic 310S is responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance and diagnostic tests of the UPS vehicle fleet.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Location: 566 Riverview Drive, Chatham, ON
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday: 5 PM – 1:30 AM (some overtime may be required)
Compensation:
Starting Wage (310S License Holders): $36.00 per hour
After 90 Working Days: $37.00 per hour
After 12 Months (from the date seniority is earned): $42.29 per hour
Additional Premium: Candidates who hold both 310S and 310T licenses will be eligible for an additional $1.00 per hour
Responsibilities and Duties:
Repair, inspect, and maintain UPS gasoline vehicles in a regular and timely manner.
Operate/test company vehicles within the UPS facilities & on public roads.
Qualifications:
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
Possession of essential trade tools and equipment.
Must possess a clean driver’s abstract/record (must not be obtained more than a month ago before the interview date) showing:
No violations during the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations during the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
No accidents and a maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
Strong organizational skills.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Must pass a pre-employment road test.

Weekly pay (every Friday).
Automatic pay progression as per the existing union Collective Agreement.
Paid vacation:
2 weeks after 1 year of service
3 weeks after 5 years of service
4 weeks after 10 years of service
5 weeks after 20 years of service
6 weeks after 25 years of service

Working Conditions:
Mainly indoors (in a warehouse or shop). Occasionally work outdoors.
