As a Claims Examiner, you will review insurance claims, interpret policy provisions, gather documentation, communicate with claimants and stakeholders, and determine benefit eligibility within established procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Review claims documentation and extract required information for accurate processing.
- Assess claims against applicable policies and interpret policy provisions based on individual claim circumstances.
- Verify, correct, and complete claims information through phone, written communication, or direct contact.
- Communicate professionally with claimants, agents, hospitals, doctors, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct investigations, gather supporting documentation, and maintain accurate claim records.
- Calculate benefits payable and approve or deny claims within established authority limits and procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $50,000 to $58,000 per year.
- Permanent direct hire opportunity.
- Location: Downtown Hamilton, ON.
- Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in office.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
