Seasonal Position: Now through mid-September
Starting base salary ~4150/mth, established based on experience + tips + room and board ( taxable benefit ).
Work week 50-60 hrs, 6 days/week, ~ anywhere from 8-12 hr days.
Longer days/weeks are generally compensated with extra pay or shorter days.
DOCK/CAMP DUTIES:
- Work directly with the lead/primary dock hand
- Greet guests on the dock & attend to group arrival/departures
- Load & unload aircraft (float-planes)
- Refuel aircraft
- Carry luggage, outboard motors, gas cans and propane tanks
- Mix gas
- Maintain the grounds (grass cutting, weed whipping, garbage collection)
- General repair/maintenance at Lodge & outpost camps Coordinate supplying live bait (minnows & leeches) Clean minnow tanks & boats
OTHER DUTIES:
· Assist with Bear Bait (create stands, prepare, set and maintain bait sites)
· Collect garbage daily & complete dump runs
· Other duties as required (may include washing kitchen dishes, mopping)
· Carpentry experience a plus
REQUIREMENTS :
Canadian citizen or landed immigrant with valid work permit.
Avid interest in the outdoors & comfortable with isolated work environments
Ability to work independently
Valid Drivers License - clean record
Capable of lifting heavy loads (up to 100 lbs) (propane tanks, luggage. building supplies, boats & motors etc)
Self directed
Easily adapt to busy and slow times of the season
Be comfortable with interacting with guests and staff in a small work environment. Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling.

KaBeeLo lodge is a family owned hunting and fishing lodge in Northwestern Ontario with the closest town of 1,000 people being 50km from the main base. Our main base includes the main lodge (office, kitchen and dining hall) staff housing (3-5 cabins) laundry house etc and 7 guest cabins. Our on-site staff of ~11 people is made up of pilots, cooks, mechanic, dock hand, office manager and owners (& 3 kids ages 4, 6 & 8). Satellite internet available - no cell service.
