Qualifications – Ontario Long-Term Care Home
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum of 2 years of Long-Term Care (LTC) nursing experience required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Charge Nurse experience is highly preferred
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months with the possibility of extension
- Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and assessments for residents in a Long-Term Care setting
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring resident responses and documenting outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Provide leadership and support to healthcare staff, including assuming Charge Nurse responsibilities when required
- Promote resident safety while ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safety protocols, and provincial regulations
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Canadian Long-Term Care nursing experience (required)
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership abilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
