Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) or individuals with equivalent experience to join our caregiving team. This role involves providing essential support to clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through attentive and respectful care. Prior experience in senior care, hospice, dementia care, or home care is highly valued. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Support meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Assist with transferring and repositioning clients, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Engage clients in recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Document care provided and report any changes in health or behavior to supervising staff
- Support clients with special needs related to dementia, disabilities, or hospice care
Skills
- Experience in, in home care settings
- Strong understanding of patient care and caregiving best practices
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or dementia
- Compassionate communication skills and patience when working with seniors or vulnerable populations
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in client environments
- Flexibility to adapt to different care needs and work schedules

Support workers must already live in or near the Plaster Rock area to be considered.
Paid Milage to and from clients homes.
Biweekly Pay

Pay: $18.75-$21.23 per hour
