Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Restaurant Cashier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately handling transactions, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the cashier station
- Operate POS systems to process orders efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage food preparation areas when necessary, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with serving food and beverages as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Ensure timely service by managing order flow and coordinating with kitchen staff
- Follow proper sanitation procedures to uphold health standards within the restaurant
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Food industry experience including serving or kitchen experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $15.00-$25.11 per hour
