Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
- Decorate cakes with artistic flair, ensuring presentation meets company standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients and mixing batter.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their needs.
- Handle food items safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
- Package finished products for sale, ensuring quality and presentation are upheld.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking or cake decorating is highly desirable.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.
