Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced welding skills and a strong mechanical background to support various fabrication and assembly projects. This role involves working with diverse materials and equipment, ensuring high-quality welds, and adhering to safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a broad set of technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring precision and adherence to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for fabrication and assembly tasks
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy components using cranes or forklifts
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices
- Execute machining tasks as needed, including working with ductwork, construction components, or custom fabrications
- Use basic math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements
- Assist with assembly of fabricated parts according to project specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) within manufacturing or construction environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and equipment operation
- Familiarity with crane operation, forklift handling, and rigging techniques
- Hands-on experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, machining tools, and hand/power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Prior experience working with ductwork or in construction projects is preferred
- Knowledge of schematics, assembly procedures, and basic math calculations relevant to fabrication tasks
This position requires a skilled professional capable of delivering high-quality work while maintaining safety standards. The successful candidate will bring a comprehensive set of technical skills essential for complex welding projects in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
