The Department of Community Health Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Coordinator. This Part-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 24 months (based on length of grant funding), with the a strong possibility of extension.
Food insecurity is a potent social determinant of health among cancer survivors that negatively impacts their quality of life, mental and physical health, and survival. The Research Coordinator will oversee a pragmatic multi-centre RCT in BC, Alberta and Ontario. The RCT will examine the impact of a 12-month subsidized healthy food prescription program, compared to a healthy food prescription alone, on the quality of life, patient-reported outcomes, dietary intake, physical health markers and healthcare use of 154 adults with food insecurity who have completed cancer treatment; including among women with breast cancer and survivors living in rural/remote areas.
Approximately 28 hours a week.
