Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our culinary team. *Must be available evenings and weekends* Please note this position is not eligible for RCIP
You must have 5 years experience in a kitchen environment, and be located in Nelson BC to apply

Duties
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the prep station and kitchen areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and within specified timeframes
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Previous experience in serving or supporting front-of-house staff is advantageous but not essential
