At Modern Air & Water, one of Edmonton’s most trusted names in HVAC and duct cleaning, we service both residential and commercial customers with a focus on quality, professionalism, and a job well done We're expanding — and looking for someone competitive, mechanically inclined, and ready to learn a trade as our next Residential Duct Cleaning Technician. No experience necessary. If you’ve sold/ installed tires, upsold service packages, worked in a lube bay or hustled on a shop floor — automotive and tire shop backgrounds are a great fit — you already have what it takes. We’ll teach you the trade.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating and driving a duct cleaning truck (Class 5 license required)
- Learning residential and commercial duct cleaning from the ground up — full training provided
- Upselling additional services to customers on-site and earning uncapped commission on everything you sell
- Earning referral bonuses for every lead you send our way — friends, family, former customers, anyone who needs air duct cleaning, furnace or AC tune-up, New furnace or AC and new Hot Water Systems
- Using ServiceTitan to log jobs and keep organized (we’ll train you — no experience needed)
- Working in attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops (yes, sometimes it gets gritty — we like it that way)
- Being part of a team that values safety, accountability, and showing up ready to go
What We’re Looking For:
- No duct cleaning experience necessary — we provide full training
- Sales or customer-facing experience strongly preferred — tire shops, automotive service, retail, or any job where you had to close a sale
- Solid mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Valid Alberta driver’s license- Class 5
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights
- Customer-first attitude and professional appearance
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
- Self-motivated and competitive — you’re driven to earn more, not just clock in
What You’ll Get:
- Yearly income- $65-$90K per Year
- Paid training — start earning a training wage from day one while you learn the trade $22-24/ HR
- Piece pay/ Commission on Residential Air Duct Cleaning upon training completion
