- Ensure Risk Assessment is completed before the commencement of any job.
- Prep shifts for success maintain all equipment, build new lines, replace bearings motors and belts.
- Comply with safety and standard operating procedures across the plant.
- Recommend or implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments
- Inspect equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations, work and safety procedures.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Place requisitions for materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
- Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
- Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
Qualifications
- Mechanical/Iron Worker/Welder based degree or diploma an asset with relevant plant experience
- At least three years maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of cement technology and manufacturing process is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership ability and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with plant and regional personnel.
- Ability to work on many tasks at the same time while keeping excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communicator (both oral & written).
- Highly motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving organizational and personal goals.
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment (co-workers, suppliers, etc.).
- Valid class 5 drivers’ license with folk and skid steer experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
