We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager who will lead and deliver projects within scope, budget, and timelines while ensuring quality and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator along with being proactive, organized, and must possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Your future duties and responsibilities
. Manage multiple, concurrent projects ensuring quality, on-time, and on-budget implementation.
. Provide regular updates to the program leadership, sub-program leads and PMO teams.
. Assist in the development of performance metrics and/or standards that could be applied during the implementation of the initiatives or support activities.
. Set and manage customer expectations in regard to project scope and timeline, stakeholder roles and responsibilities, project governance, risk management and organizational readiness.
. Communicate project objectives to project leads.
. Define, document, and maintain plans using a variety of project management tools including Microsoft Office Project Planning software (MS Project);
. Provide knowledge transfer to departmental personnel on an on-going basis.
. Must strongly focus on client relationship and management
. Mentor team members on best practice consulting – facilitating workshops, documenting requirements etc.
Deliverables
. Supporting and coaching PMO team members to maintain over level monitoring, control, and reporting documents (project schedule; dashboard; risks/issue logs; etc.)
. Review sub team plans and assuring alignment of key milestones and deliverables
. Manage PMO team sub tasks
Reporting Requirements
. Monthly Task Authorization Status Report is required.
. In addition, the consultant may be required to provide the following reports/documents, an Action Item Register, Project Status reports, Agendas, Minutes, Resource Utilization Plan and Knowledge Transfer Plan
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
. 10+ years of general experience in Project Management and project delivery.
. Demonstrated experience with managing a large transformation project that impacts the finance and accounting functions.
. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing project schedules, using the Microsoft Project
. Experience with configuration of multi-cloud hybrid network infrastructure and deployment of software into such networks, with specific experience in AWS and experience with at least one other cloud provider.
. Experience with OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD integration of software into
. Ideally also experience with GitLab experience, Paker, OpenBao/Vault
. Some experience with Windows system administration, windows servers, PowerShell
. Ideally also some experience with VMWare
. Ideally also some experience with infrastructure metrics and monitoring tools to monitor infrastructure components and workloads, including cloud-agnostic tools such as Promethius, and ideally also cloud-specific offerings such as AWS's cloud monitoring tools.
. Excellent consulting, communication, and collaborative skills.
. Excellent client relationship and business acumen.
. Project Management Professional (PMP, PgMP) Certification
. Prosci Management of Change Certification (ADKAR) - not mandatory
Good to have
. Working experience with Federal government clients
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000–$140,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
