WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
· Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial trucks, trailers, and transportation equipment
· Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, steering, air, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems
· Perform preventative maintenance and complete government safety inspections
· Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
· Complete welding and fabrication work, arc, steel, and acetylene cutting
· Accurately document repairs, inspections, labour, and parts used on work orders
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and follow standard repair procedures
· Occasionally provide roadside emergency service when required
· Work collaboratively with Parts and fellow Technicians to ensure timely, high-quality repairs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License
· Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
· Certified to perform Ontario Commercial Vehicle Safety Inspections
· Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing commercial transportation equipment
· Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools
· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
· Welding and fabrication experience
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
· Ability to read and write English
· Valid provincial driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
This position involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting heavy components, climbing, bending, working at heights, and operating heavy-duty shop equipment in a fast-paced repair environment.
