Since 1989, Matsqui Ag-Repair has proudly supported farmers across British Columbia with reliable expert service. Based in Abbotsford, BC, we're an authorized dealer for JCB Agriculture, SILOKING, KUHN, McCormick, and TYM Tractors, as well as Western Canada's authorized distributor for McHale.
As our dealership and repair shop grows, we are seeking a skilled Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team. If you have experience in diagnosing and fixing heavy duty machinery, possess strong mechanical knowledge, and want to build a long-term career with an established agricultural dealership, we'd love to hear from you.
Duties Include:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair various types of heavy agricultural equipment using computerized diagnostic tools and hands-on testing.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on machines such as utility tractors, integrated balers, telehandlers, skid steers, etc.
- Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Assemble and disassemble heavy duty equipment components.
- Repair and replace defective parts/components using hand and power tools.
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
Skills:
- Red Seal as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (required).
- At least 3 years (required) of previous experience as a heavy duty mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery/farm equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the repair process, including lift up to 75 lbs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial and agricultural equipment is an asset
- Familiarity with electrical systems in heavy equipment
- Experience working with hand tools specific to heavy machinery repairs
- Ability to dig into equipment for maintenance purpose
License/Certification:
- Red Seal - Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (required)
- Class 5 Drivers License (required)
