We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper to join our growing team at Preferred Collision Kingston, 683 Gardiners Road. This is a great opportunity to build your career in the collision repair industry with hands-on experience, mentorship, and room for advancement.
Pay: $18–$24 per hour, based on experience
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare vehicles for repair and refinishing (sanding, masking, priming)
- Perform surface prep tasks including wet sanding, buffing, and polishing
- Assist technicians with minor surface repairs (scratches, chips, light filler work)
- Maintain a clean and organized shop, detailing bay, and lot
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
- Support the team with additional shop duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable with a solid work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in the trade
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving abstract is required
- Experience with wet sanding, buffing, and polishing preferred
- 2–3 years of auto body or prep experience is considered an asset
