The West Vancouver Community Services Department has an opening for a casual Photo Club Leader at the Seniors Activity Centre (SAC). Reporting to the Program Coordinator – Seniors’ Services, this position will be responsible for:

Scheduling and organizing weekly club meetings for the fall, winter, and spring sessions

Sending weekly email updates to members with announcements and upcoming events

Coordinating with presenters and volunteers to organize meetings and presentations

Planning and coordinating approximately three photography outings per year (one per session)

Acting as Master of Ceremonies (MC) during meetings, introducing presenters and sharing announcements

Coordinating with volunteers responsible for the photo display wall and greeting card sales

Maintaining communication with the Seniors’ Centre regarding scheduling
The preferred candidates will possess: Strong communication, time management and organizational skills; interest or passion for photography; experience leading meetings and coordinating activities; ability to work effectively and proactively with volunteers, staff and the public; ability to take direction and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team.
Candidates should be available to work Thursday afternoon shifts.
The successful candidates will be required to supply an acceptable police information check and a copy of their credentials.

Non-Union – Casual
Hours of Work:
Approximately 2-4 hours per week, including some Thursday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Hours and days of work can vary.
Starting Rate of Pay:
$30.00 per hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits
