Full Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to lead our summer camp program at our daycare. This is a full-time, temporary position for the duration of our summer camp.
Our program serves children 5 to 9 years old, offering a fun, engaging, and safe environment filled with creative and educational activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a structured summer camp program for children ages 5–9
- Lead daily activities including arts & crafts, outdoor play, games, and learning experiences
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment
- Supervise children and manage behavior effectively
- Communicate with parents and team members as needed
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing
- Experience working with children ages 5–9
- Previous summer camp experience is an asset
- First Aid & CPR Level C certification (required)
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Work Conditions
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- Active role including outdoor supervision and participation in physical activities
