Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Server/Shift Leader to join our team. This role combines exceptional customer service with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth restaurant operations during shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, hospitality, and food industry standards, with the ability to manage guest experiences efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Greet and serve guests in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring an outstanding dining experience
- Take orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS, and process payments with cash handling skills
- Lead and supervise team members during shifts, providing guidance on service standards and operational procedures
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout the restaurant
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen operations as needed to support team efficiency
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of dining areas, adhering to sanitation protocols
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer service
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering tasks
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to lead shifts efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as serving or food preparation is preferred
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and manage guest interactions professionally
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and kitchen operations is advantageous
