The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is seeking a strong teacher to join its Curriculum Services Team as a Catholic Curriculum Consultant. This position will include responsibilities for curriculum implementation and leadership primarily from Junior Kindergarten through to Grade 8, including Full Day Kindergarten.

Reporting/Responsibilities
Reporting to the Superintendent of Schools, the successful candidate will provide strong and progressive leadership in the review, development and implementation of the elementary curriculum within the District. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Providing a strong Catholic focus in all curriculum initiatives and projects.
- Providing support to teachers and school administrators.
- Facilitating the development and use of curriculum guidelines and resource documents.
- Leading the planning and facilitation of professional learning opportunities to support educators.
- Facilitating Ministry of Education curriculum initiatives and developing and implementing follow-up action plans.
- Work in professional learning communities within schools and with board curriculum team.
- Representing the Board in various projects with external curriculum partners.
- Various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 3 Divisions: Primary/Junior (Preferred).
- Religious Education, Part 1 (Specialist qualification preferred).
- Honours Specialist or Specialist qualifications in one or more subject area preferred.
- The completion or partial completion of a Masters in Education in Curriculum Studies would be considered an asset.
- Experience and leadership in curriculum an asset.
- A demonstrated commitment to the implementation of Catholicity across the curriculum.
- Successful experience in multiple divisions within the system.
- Skill with the implementation of student-centered and activity-based learning.
- Experience and familiarity with curriculum review, development and implementation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, presentation and computer skills.
- Experience facilitating professional development within school and/or system an asset.
- Ability to lead and motivate collaborative work teams an asset.
