Job Description
Responsible for receiving, offloading, handling of product between departments, buildings, and machinery. With the instruction from department leads, you will be required to load effectively and safely, unload, and shift product from racking systems, machines, trucks beds, and inventory stations. With the attentions to detail, you’ll need to communicate with employees from shipping & receiving when inventory levels are low. Full adherence to safety compliance regulations and the ability to operate equipment safely will be essential to succeeding in this role. Other duties may be required.
Key Responsibilities & General Duties
- Safely unload / load delivery and pick up vehicles
- Operate lifting devices, eg. forklifts, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks hoists effectively and safely
- Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, trucks and lifting devices.
- Support inventory control with accurate documentation
- Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment
- Accurately weigh and document materials
- Provide production data on tags or labels

Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience as a forklift operator
- Forklift Certification and Safety Training Certificate
- Physically fit and able to lift and move materials (boxes, panels, materials) up to 50 pounds
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer literate
- Professional appearance and manners
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
