TOOL AND DIE MAKER
Our client located in Woodbridge is looking for a Tool and Die Maker. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, mechanical design, and tooling fabrication. This role involves creating, repairing, and maintaining high-quality tools, dies, and molds essential for production processes. Candidates should possess excellent technical skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing principles, and proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
Position: Tool and Die Maker
Location: Woodbridge, ON
Shift: Mon-Fri, 8am – 4.30pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ 25-35/ hour
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop tools, dies, molds, and fixtures using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAD programs
- Operate CNC machines including, CNC milling machine, and other machining equipment to produce precise components
- Program CNC equipment utilizing CNC programming knowledge to ensure accurate manufacturing processes
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications
- Perform machining operations using hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement instruments to ensure quality standards
- Assemble machined components into finished tools or dies with attention to detail
- Conduct fabrication techniques as required for tool assembly or repair
- Troubleshoot tooling issues by analyzing schematics and mechanical drawings to identify solutions
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure compliance with safety standards
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and general CAD principles
- Experience with CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to tooling fabrication, machining processes, and manufacturing principles
- Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, schematics, and measurement devices for precision work
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Knowledge of welding techniques applicable to tool fabrication or repair
- Strong math skills including geometry and measurements relevant to machining tasks
- Experience with assembly of machined parts into functional tools or dies
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols and best practices

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
