Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Home Renovations Contractor to join our team. Rex Renovations prides itself in being eco conscious and innovative. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various construction areas such as carpentry, flooring, painting, drywalling and more. The position is full time employment (35-40 hours per week) with 4 day work weeks (4x 10 hour shifts).
Responsibilities:
- Execute home renovation projects from start to finish (starting jobs, talking with clients, picking up payments)
- Perform carpentry work including framing, trim work, and cabinetry
- Utilize power tools effectively for various tasks
- Material take-off’s and material pickup
- Sub trade coordination
- Place a high priority on safety, be familiar with provincial safety standards, responsible for enforcing safety on site
Location: The majority of the work will take place in Oxford Country, but not limited to London, Stratford, and Kitchener
Requirements:
- Have reliable transportation to job sites (having your own vehicle is an asset)
- Minimum 5 years of home renovation experience
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Own basic hand tools and equipment for the job
- Be a team player, hard worker, self-motivated, and punctual.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a new system
Compensation:
$25-$35/ hour depending on experience + yearly benefits
